It’s easy to see why Florence has inspired so many brilliant artists. The lighting is absolutely breathtaking and there’s a beauty in its winding roads, gnarled trees, and classic Italian architecture.

I had the joy of spending some time in Florence & it is a truly special city. The museums and galleries are awe-inspiring, the food is mouth-watering, and as a photographer, I fell in love with the light and the views.

On one blue-sky day I captured a family on holiday in Florence. Mom had said that the usual limits on ice cream didn’t apply so the kids took full advantage & had 3 during this session! The sugar definitely helped keep them going as we walked up to Piazzale Michaelangelo to enjoy the stunning panoramic views over Florence.

Having Rina capture some of our holiday in Florence was absolutely magical. While in the market a couple couldn’t believe we had a professional photographer taking photos, but it meant we could enjoy time with the kids & be IN the photos ourselves. In true Rina style, she gave us simple cues for poses and captured the joy & the beauty in a series of storytelling images. It’s a holiday the kids remember because of all the gelato they ate, and we’ll remember it all the better for these timeless photos of all of us together and that is priceless.
